This monograph is the first extended study on Ceddo Film and Video Collective, one of the pioneering Black British film and video workshops active in London during the 1980s and 1990s.

Drawing on extensive archival research at institutions including the BFI, LUX, Tate Britain, the George Padmore Institute, and the Black Cultural Archives, the book retrieves and analyses Ceddo's complete body of work — including four productions that had never been previously explored.

Through an interdisciplinary framework intersecting cultural studies, memory studies, film studies, and postcolonial theory, this study examines how Ceddo's productions shaped counter-histories and contributed to Black British cultural memory.
